4. Layers
New shapes go on the layer marked In use. Hidden layers are not drawn or exported to SVG or 3D. Locked layers cannot be selected.

What this room does not do
- No constraint solver: shapes do not stay linked when you change another shape.
- No splines or curves other than circles and arcs.
- DXF is a small R12 subset: lines, circles, arcs, polylines, text and layers. Dimensions export as plain lines and text.
- No DWG files. No import of DXF files.
- 3D export checks no printability: shapes that cross themselves can give a bad STL. Check the result in your slicer.
