Enter what you pay for ingredients and build your recipes. See what a batch and a portion cost, then price your menu from a food-cost target you choose.
Every price in this app is one you type in: what you paid. It does not look up supplier prices and has no price list of its own. It counts ingredients only, so labour, rent, packaging, duty and tax are not in the food cost.
How the numbers work: every amount is worked out exactly, with no rounding on the way, and rounded half up to the nearest cent only when it is shown. A total can differ by a cent from adding up the rounded lines. A suggested price is worked out from the exact portion cost and rounded up to the next cent, so the food cost at that price is never above your target. Food-cost % is shown to one decimal place. The app does not convert between weight and volume. Gallons, pints and fl oz are US measures unless marked UK.
Changing the currency only changes how amounts are shown. It does not convert them.
What you buy, how big the pack is and the price you paid for one pack. The cost per gram, ml or each is worked out for you.

A recipe is a list of ingredients with quantities. Say what it makes: a number of portions, or a volume such as a batch of beer, and the cost per pint or per can comes from that volume.
No recipes yet. Add your first recipe, then put ingredients in it.
Enter the volume you actually end up with after fermenting, filtering and losses. The cost per serving is the batch cost divided by how many servings that volume holds.
