Rent Roll & Bookings

Keep track of your units or rooms, who lives in them, what is due and what has been paid, and which nights are booked. Print a statement for any occupant.

This app does not collect rent, send reminders or list anything on booking sites. You type in every rent, price and date, and nothing is filled in for you: it has no built-in rents or rates. Everything stays in this browser.

Your details

Places and units

A place is a building or property. A unit is an apartment, a room or a storage unit in it. Give each one a label you will recognise.

No units yet. Add your first one below.

Add a unit

Typing a place name you have not used before creates the place. Use the same name again to add more units to it. Examples of labels: Apt 2B, Room 3, Unit 14.

Long stays

No occupants yet. Add a unit first, then add who lives in it below.

Add an occupant

Type amounts like 1250 or 1,250.50, without a currency symbol. The end date is the last day they have the unit; leave it empty if there is none. The deposit is shown on the statement and is not part of the balance. Rent is charged on every due date from the start date, so a part-month at the start is not worked out for you: add a charge or credit for it. Changing the rent, how often it is due or the due day later does not change charges already in the ledger.

Ledger and statement

Pick an occupant to see their charges, payments and balance. The statement below is what gets printed. This app does not collect rent: record each payment yourself.

Add to the ledger

A charge is money owed, such as a fee or an extra month. A payment is money you received. A credit lowers the balance without a payment, for example a waived month. A charge dated for a past day counts as due on that day.

Add an occupant to start a ledger.

Short stays

No bookings yet. Add a unit, then add the first booking below.

Add a booking

Nights are counted from the check-in day up to, but not including, the check-out day. Fees are one amount for the whole stay, such as a cleaning fee. Two bookings of the same unit cannot share a night, but a guest can check in on the day another checks out. Type 0 as the rate if the stay is free.

Month calendar and occupancy

Booked night Free night. Each row is a night, from the check-in day up to the day before check-out.

Add a unit to see the calendar.

Occupancy

Occupancy is the booked nights in the month divided by the nights in the month for every unit you have added. A booking that runs across two months counts only the nights that fall in each month. Units that have no short stays still count their free nights, so read a single unit's own row for that unit.
